Hard Wax is a breakthrough product that changes the way you lubricate your bicycle chain. It uses the latest droplet wax technology, combining the benefits of wax and oil lubrication in one.
1. Innovative technology: Instead of traditional wet oil-based lubrication, the chain is immersed in heated liquid wax, which penetrates every nook and cranny of the chain, then hardens and dries, creating a microscopic layer of lubrication.
2. Advantages of wax lubrication: Wax lubrication provides exceptional protection and reduces friction on the chain. This allows for a longer chain and sprocket life and a quieter ride.
3. Simple Application Process: Even though the lubrication process is advanced, applying Hard Wax is easy. Simply dip the chain in the liquid wax and then let it dry.
4. Long-Lasting Protection: Once hardened, Hard Wax forms a long-lasting protective layer on the chain, protecting it from dirt, moisture, and wear. This means the chain stays in top condition for a long time.
5. Tixotropy: The product has thixotropic properties, which means it becomes less viscous when vigorously agitated. This makes application easier and allows the wax to penetrate the chain better.
6. Cleanliness and Efficiency: Waxing keeps the chain cleaner because dirt is bound in the wax, and driving noise is reduced. This benefits performance and riding comfort.
Although wax lubrication may initially seem more complicated than traditional oil lubrication, benefits such as longer chain life, lower friction, and greater protection make Hard Wax worth trying. Products based on this technology bring real benefits to cyclists, both professional and amateur.
Wax drying time, depending on temperature, is approximately 6-8 hours. EVIL Hard Wax should be heated evenly to approximately 40-45 degrees Celsius before use. We recommend using a water bath.

If it is a new chain that is free of contamination, wash off the factory coating.
Heat the bottle of wax to a temperature of about 40-45 degrees Celsius (water bath) to completely liquidize the product.
Onto the prepared, clean chain, apply a new layer of wax lubricant dropwise (remembering to mix thoroughly by shaking the bottle) along the entire length of the chain.
The saying "more is better" is misleading, as it's often the case with traditional drop-wise chain lubrication. After lubrication, remove excess liquid wax with a dry cloth, rotate the drive system several times, and then leave the chain for 4 to 6 hours.
After this time, you can remove excess hard wax by rotating the drive system.
Hard Wax lubricant, like all wax products, can be removed with both hot water and chemical chain cleaners. However, there's a difference between these two chain cleaning methods. Chemical cleaning completely removes the wax and washes everything down to the bare metal.
Hot water wax removal removes only the wax, leaving most of the PTFE and solid lubricants in the lubricated parts of the bicycle chain. This method of preparing the chain for relubrication seems more appropriate.
After washing with hot water, all that's left is to dry the chain, e.g., with compressed air or a hairdryer, and lightly lubricate the chain with new Hard Wax drops.
Hard Wax lubricant recommended for MTB, triathlon, gravel, racing, and e-bikes operating in wet and dry conditions. When riding in rain/wet conditions, the chain should be re-waxed after prolonged contact with water.
This is an inherent characteristic of all hot melt and liquid waxes, regardless of brand, and cannot be avoided.
Composition: several types of waxes hard, corrosion inhibitor, liquid wax thickener emulsifier, PTFE nanoparticles and red solid lubricant
Application to a new chain: When using Hard Wax emulsion for the first time, the chain should be completely clean (degreased) and dry. This applies to a new chain or a chain free of oil lubrication.
