Howard Feed-N-Wax Wood Polish & Conditioner – a wax conditioner for furniture and wood
Restore the depth of color, natural shine, and well-groomed appearance of wood
Howard Feed-N-Wax Wood Polish & Conditioner is a valued product for the care of furniture, antiques, and other wooden surfaces. A special blend of conditioning oils, beeswax, carnauba wax, and orange oil refreshes the appearance of the wood, enhances its natural color, and brings out the beauty of the grain.
The result is wood that looks better cared for, has a deeper color and a pleasant, satin finish – without creating a thick, artificial-looking coating.
Feed-N-Wax is perfect for both regular furniture care and as a finishing touch to renovations performed with Howard Restor-A-Finish.
Why choose Howard Feed-N-Wax?
• Revitalizes the appearance of wood – helps restore depth, warmth, and clarity to the surface.
• Highlights the natural grain – enhances the color and structure of the wood.
• Gives a soft, elegant shine – without the effect of a thick layer of varnish.
• Helps reduce drying – conditioning oils support the care of over-dried wood.
• Helps reduce fading and cracking associated with drying out the material.
• Suitable for both finished and unfinished wood.
• Ideal for furniture and antiques - allows you to easily refresh their appearance without time-consuming renovation.
• Perfect after Howard Restor-A-Finish - helps enhance and maintain the restored effect.
• Does not contain silicone or linseed oil.
• Easy to use - just apply, leave on and polish.
What does Feed-N-Wax contain?
• mineral oils and other conditioning oils,
• carnauba wax,
• paraffin wax,
• orange oil.
It is this combination of oils and waxes that helps refresh dry, dull wood, bring out the depth of its color and leave an attractive, subtle shine on the surface.
Feed-N-Wax is not a preparation consisting only of natural oils and waxes - its base also includes refined mineral oils.
What is Howard Feed-N-Wax used for?
• tables, chairs and other wooden furniture,
• chests of drawers, wardrobes, desks and shelves,
• antiques and period furniture,
• kitchen cabinets and wooden fronts,
• doors, door frames and moldings,
• paneling and wooden finishing elements,
• picture frames, sculptures and decorations,
• finished wood,
• raw and unfinished wood,
• surfaces restored with Howard Restor-A-Finish.
Before using on a delicate, unusual or freshly applied finish, always test on an inconspicuous area.
Effect on finished wood
On varnished and finished surfaces, Feed-N-Wax:
refreshes the appearance furniture,
• highlights the natural grain pattern,
• helps restore color depth,
• leaves a delicate, even shine,
• supports the care of the existing finish.
The preparation does not replace varnish or the renovation of damaged coatings, but allows you to quickly improve the appearance of wood that has become dry, dull, or indistinct.
Effect on raw and over-dried wood
Raw or very dry wood can absorb a larger amount of the product. Oils help darken and enhance its natural color, and waxes give the surface a soft shine.
For very absorbent wood, it may be necessary to:
• leave the preparation for a longer time, even overnight,
• applying an additional layer,
• polishing again after the product has been absorbed.
Since the preparation can deepen the color of the raw wood, testing on an inconspicuous area is particularly important.
How to use
1. Remove dust, dirt, and loose debris from the surface.
2. Make sure the wood is dry.
3. Test on a small, inconspicuous area.
4. Apply Feed-N-Wax to a small, soft cloth.
5. Spread the preparation evenly over the wood.
6. Leave on the surface for at least 20 minutes.
7. Carefully remove all unabsorbed excess.
8. Buff the surface with a clean, soft cloth to an even shine.
Do not leave thick, sticky, or unpolished residue on finished wood.
Very dry or unfinished wood
If the wood is bare, faded, or very dry:
1. Apply the product evenly.
2. Leave it on longer – overnight if necessary.
3. Remove any unabsorbed excess.
4. Buff the surface thoroughly.
5. If the wood still looks dry, repeat the application.
How often to use?
It is a good idea to use Feed-N-Wax whenever the wood begins to look dry, faded, or dull. The manufacturer indicates that application approximately once a month is usually sufficient.
• the type and absorbency of the wood,
• the condition of the surface,
• the intensity of use,
• temperature and humidity,
• exposure to light.
If the surface still looks good and shows no signs of drying, another application is not necessary.
The perfect finish after Howard Restor-A-Finish
Feed-N-Wax is the recommended complement to the care after applying Howard Restor-A-Finish.
1. Restore the surface with Restor-A-Finish according to the instructions.
2. Leave it to dry.
3. Apply Feed-N-Wax to enhance the depth of the wood and give it a soft shine.
This is a practical duo for those who want to refresh the look of old furniture without completely removing it and recoating it.
Can it be used outdoors?
Feed-N-Wax was developed primarily for the care of indoor furniture, but can also be used on wooden garden furniture.
However, it is not a waterproofing impregnation. Wax can help repel moisture, but does not provide lasting protection against rain, water, and weather.
For furniture heavily exposed to sunlight, the manufacturer recommends Howard SunShield Wood Conditioner.
