1. Structural Efficiency
Bulldog spike rings enable connections to be designed using fewer tie bolts, allowing for proper spacing between bolts and from the wood edges. This increases the stability and security of the structure while reducing the risk of material damage.
2. Versatile Applications
The product is available in double-sided versions for timber connections and single-sided versions for timber-to-steel connections, making it suitable for a variety of structures and materials, including solid timber, composite timber, and laminated timber.
3. Anti-corrosion protection
The steel used to produce the rings is hot-dip galvanized (50 µm), which provides excellent corrosion protection and extends the product's life even in harsh weather conditions.
4. Durability and connection strength
Bulldog barbed rings provide strong and durable connections, which is crucial in structural elements requiring high load-bearing capacity. They also enable easy disassembly, which further increases the functionality and practicality of use in various construction and renovation projects.
5. Service class
Characterized by material moisture corresponding to a temperature of 20°C and relative humidity of the surrounding air exceeding 85% only for a few weeks a year.
6. Zinc coating
The products are immersed in molten zinc at 550-560°C. The zinc coating is formed by a reaction between the steel component and the zinc, and forms on both sides of the immersed component. It provides good corrosion resistance in most environments.
Application and method assembly
• Used to connect timber to steel members to increase the load-bearing capacity of the bolted connection in structural elements.
• Installation is carried out using a hydraulic press or a wooden block and a hammer.
• If the toothed ring is assembled in a workshop, 1 or 2 nails may be needed to hold it during transport.
• DoP- h10/0007
• EN 145454: 2008
Guarantee of the highest quality. This standard specifies requirements and test methods for materials, geometry, strength, stiffness, and durability (i.e., corrosion protection) of connectors used in load-bearing wooden structures.
