Product Description Saiho's Commitment Japanese Traditional Craft, Glass Workshop "Saiho" Saiho's Patterns At Saiho, we cherish tradition while also challenging ourselves with designs and patterns. The simple and concise checkered pattern has been loved both in the East and West. However, polishing a cylindrical, curved glass into a flat square requires far more skill and patience than it appears. Saiho has created a bold reinterpretation of the traditional checkered pattern. Utilizing the depth of the glass, the Fuji Sakura pattern is designed so that when viewed from the front, the hazy moon appears to hang over Mount Fuji, and when viewed from the moon, Mount Fuji can be seen within it. Our skilled artisans create these pieces with care, allowing you to enjoy your evening drink alongside the cherry blossoms that have been cherished by the Japanese since ancient times. Characteristics of Edo Kiriko The production of Edo Kiriko began in the late Edo period, where transparent glass (clear glass) was intricately cut and finished through hand polishing. Passed down through many artisans to the present day, it has become a distinguished glass craft designated as a national traditional craft due to its beauty and quality. Edo Kiriko glasses created by the Edo Kiriko brand "Glass Workshop Saiho" are handcrafted by artisans at Saiho. This unique glass features a pink base layered with light blue, cut with a cherry blossom design. It is inspired by cherry blossoms in full bloom against a blue sky. Product Size: φ68*H50/60ml Gift
