We spent over a year examining Char's past equipment, including guitars and amplifiers. Char ultimately combined his two favorite sounds into one unit. Equipped with control functions that allow for fine adjustments. This is a medium-gain overdrive pedal developed over more than a year in collaboration with Char, a leading Japanese rock guitarist and a guitarist admired, aspired to, and respected by many follower guitarists, with the aim of creating a new overdrive sound. Based on a legendary drive pedal, it evolves into a new drive sound. There are many legendary drive pedals that Char has and loved. Among them, the sound of several pedals, including Char's own Klon CENTAUR, which he particularly liked and for many years, and a unit owned by VEMURAM that is considered to have a particularly good sound, were thoroughly examined. Furthermore, since Char creates his drive sound not by using a drive pedal alone, but by combining it with the boost sounds of pedals such as the Roland CE-1 and Watkins Copicat, development started with the aim of creating a new drive sound that also reflects these nuances. During the more than one year of development, Char himself the sample unit many times in live performances, and the design was changed and tuned repeatedly based on the feedback from that, aiming for a medium-gain sound. The gain has evolved into a new drive sound.
