[IOS Factory] D System for 18-22 Series (Red) - Daiwa Drag Tuning Kit

■The vividly red D System is the future of drags.

The monocoque body made a sensational debut with the 18 Exist. The “D System for 18-22” is a drag unit with equally high rigidity and precision, embodying that concept. It comes with a dedicated tool for easy installation, is compatible with models from the 18 Exist onward to the latest models, and features corrosion resistance strong enough for saltwater use.

The vivid red D System, compatible with Daiwa’s LC-ABS (Long Cast-ABS) spools, linearly follows even slight torque fluctuations from 1LB with a high response, and is a new drag standard for a new era.

■Regarding Installation

This product is a custom part designed with the highest priority given to reel drag performance. Please note that when winding line onto the spool, it will not wind in perfect parallel order.

If uneven winding occurs with the D System, adjust by increasing or decreasing the number of washers. It is not a functional problem even if there are no washers under the bearing.

Generally, fix the D System using the upper hole position, and only fix it using the lower hole position if it interferes with the rotor nut.

The sister product, the D System for 18 series, can also be installed on the above reels, but for the 20 Rubias / 21 Presso, it was necessary to remove the rotor and install a 1mm washer. The D System 20 series can be fixed at the lower hole position of the D System main unit, eliminating the need to disassemble the rotor and add a washer. If line winding unevenness is not resolved even by reducing the number of washers, remove the rotor and install the included 0.5-1mm washer on top of the pinion bearing.
