■Enhanced sound quality through artwork
Our unique know-how is used in circuit design and artwork to achieve low noise and high separation.
■ Pre-amplification circuit using operational amplifier
I'm using the Texas Instruments NE5532 audio operational amplifier (DIP socket type).
The sound quality is adjusted in the preamplifier stage of the power amplifier IC, and advanced users can enjoy further customizing the sound by swapping out the operational amplifiers!
■FX-AUDIO- mid-range products feature a tone control circuit for the first time.
This mid-range model incorporates a tone control circuit (negative feedback type), a feature frequently requested by users, achieving a balance between convenience and sound quality.
Similar to the preamplifier section, this circuit also uses the Texas Instruments NE5532 audio operational amplifier (DIP socket type), allowing for sound quality adjustments by replacing the operational amplifier.
■ Active filter installed in the operational amplifier IC power supply.
By incorporating an active filter into the power supply circuit for the operational amplifier, a clean power supply is provided, resulting in improved sound quality.
■ Improved sound quality through efficient placement of bulk capacitors
A large-capacity 8100μF W-series capacitor from Nippon Chemi-Con is used for the power supply smoothing capacitor. Combined with the ELNA RE3 (85℃ rated) 330μF capacitor placed close to the digital amplifier IC "TDA7498", this achieves a smooth and extended sound quality without any loss of tone even at high volumes.
■ Careful selection of parts
For the input coupling capacitor to the pre-amplifier, I used an ELNA audio-grade 85-degree capacitor, and for the input coupling capacitor to the digital amplifier IC, I used a TDK EPCOS film capacitor.
On the output side, the inductor is a TDK power inductor, a standard choice for digital amplifiers, and the output filter uses a well-regarded TDK EPCOS film capacitor, as well as Arcotronics/AV R82 63V/0.22μF (Made in Italy) metallized film capacitor, etc.
From input to output, we've used components renowned for their sound quality and stability, resulting in an uncompromisingly high-quality sound.
