2x Konjac Face and Body Cleansing Sponge, Rose

Run this rose-pink konjac cleansing sponge under water and it softens into a cushioned little pillow for face and body cleansing. Made from vegetable fibres of konjac root, it brings a simple, water-led ritual to the sink or shower, with a porous surface that feels gentle rather than scrubby.

Why it feels so soft on skin

The dry sponge becomes soft and springy once saturated, changing from a firm dome into something pliable in the hand.

Its fine, open pores hold water well, so the cleanse feels cushioned rather than rough.

The rounded rose-pink shape sits comfortably against the palm and glides easily over cheeks, shoulders and arms.

Use it damp on its own for a minimal cleanse, or with your usual face or body cleanser if you prefer more lather.

It suits a slow morning wash as much as an evening reset, when you want something simple and tactile.

Konjac root fibre, made into a cleansing sponge

This sponge is made from vegetable fibres of konjac, a plant root long used in East Asian daily life. Once soaked, the fibre structure holds water at the surface, creating a soft buffer between sponge and skin.

Rose-pink dome texture

The surface is visibly porous and softly mottled, with a warm rose colour rather than a flat, solid finish. Its low domed shape gives it a smooth edge to move around the face and a broader curve for the body.

How to use and care for it

Soak the sponge until fully soft, then squeeze out the excess water gently. Massage over damp skin in small circles, with or without cleanser.

After use, rinse thoroughly, press out the water without twisting, and leave it somewhere airy to dry. Do not use it while dry, as konjac is designed to soften with water first.

A Japanese cleansing tradition

Konjac sponges have been used in Japan for more than 100 years, first known as soft bath sponges for newborn babies. Their appeal is quiet and practical: plant-based fibre, a water-rich texture, and a gentler feel than many synthetic scrubs or clo…
