The NOKTON Vintage Line 28mm F1.5 Aspherical is a wide-angle lens that combines three elements: a large aperture, a compact and sleek size, and outstanding optical performance. While achieving an extremely bright F1.5 for a 28mm wide-angle lens, the filter diameter has been kept to φ43mm, and the overall length from the mount surface is a short 45.5mm, resulting in an overall sleek style.
The classically designed lens barrel is equipped with an optical system consisting of 10 elements in 8 groups, including two double-sided aspherical lenses. It delivers outstanding optical performance even at the maximum aperture of F1.5. The minimum focusing distance is 0.7m (depending on the camera) linked to the rangefinder, but by using a helicoid that can be extended further, it is possible to achieve 0.5m.
Made of brass and weighing 330g, the Type II is sure to satisfy your desire to own it. Reminiscent of the famous lenses of the early 1960s, the Type II is available in a choice of black paint or silver finish.
The included focusing knob allows for a new manual focusing experience. The focusing knob can be attached by removing the screw in the recessed finger grip of the focusing lever. The metal focusing knob is approximately 14 mm in length, and when the lens mount is at the 6 o'clock position, it focuses at a distance of approximately 1 meter. This accessory allows you to determine the approximate focus position by the angle of the knob without having to read the focus scale. The optional hood with a slit, the LH-6 (sold separately), is compatible.
The optical design of this lens has been optimized for use with rangefinder-coupled digital and film cameras, but it can also be used with mirrorless digital cameras using a mount adapter, making it compatible with a variety of platforms beyond rangefinder cameras.
