The NOKTON 23mm F1.2 Aspherical X Mount is an interchangeable lens exclusively for the Fujifilm X Mount. It is a large-aperture, manual-focus, semi-wide-angle lens that covers an APS-C size image circle, and its optical design is optimized for the image sensor of Fujifilm X System cameras.
The combination of an electronics-compatible body and the latest firmware not only displays Exif information, focus check, and shooting distance interlocking, but also supports in-body image stabilization and parallax correction on certain models.When attached to a model that does not support electronic contacts, aperture-priority auto shooting is possible by turning on lensless release in the camera settings.
The lens is made up of 10 elements in 6 groups, including one double-sided aspherical lens and two anomalous partial dispersion glass elements, and employs the latest optical system. It achieves a large aperture of F1.2 while delivering excellent image quality from wide open aperture and producing a large bokeh effect.
The aperture blades are 12-blade with 1/3-step clicks, designed with the bokeh shape in mind. The aperture mechanism uses a mechanism in which the aperture ring directly controls the opening and closing of the aperture blades, similar to Voigtländer's VM-mount and mirrorless-mount lenses. Along with the comfortable feel of manual focus, where all lens groups are extended within the all-metal lens barrel, you can also enjoy the tactile response of directly operating the mechanism when opening and closing the aperture.
The minimum focusing distance is 0.18m (1:4.9 magnification ratio). The close-up shooting effect produces a large amount of bokeh, expanding the possibilities for shooting with bokeh at full aperture. Despite its large F1.2 aperture, it is compact and easy to handle, with a filter diameter of φ46mm, a total length of 43.8mm, and a weight of 214g. A dedicated straight-type screw-on hood is included to reduce vignetting of the shooting frame when attached to a camera body equipped with an optical viewfinder.
