A new story set in Miare City, a city undergoing urban redevelopment. ▼Adventure in Miare City The adventure takes place in Miare City, a metropolis in the Kalos region that also appeared in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. The city is undergoing urban redevelopment aimed at coexistence between humans and Pokémon, and wild Pokémon inhabit the "Wild Zone," a zone developed using cutting-edge technology. Visiting Miare City for sightseeing, the protagonist chooses one of three Pokémon as their partner: Chikorita, Snotlout, or Waninoko. Together, they will tackle the various events and incidents that occur in the city. ▼ Challenge the "ZA Royale" at night! At night, an area surrounded by red holograms called the "Battle Zone" appears in the city. From dusk until dawn, Trainers compete in the daily "ZA Royale," where they compete against each other in Pokémon battles. Participants are given a "rank" ranging from Z to A, and everyone starts at Z rank. Reaching A rank grants the title of strongest and honor, and is said to grant one wish. ▼ Battles featuring real-time action between Pokémon and Trainers in the series' first. In battle, Pokémon and Trainers move together, with Pokémon unleashing moves under the Trainer's command. In addition to type compatibility, new gameplay elements such as Pokémon switching, move selection timing, move range, and execution speed have been added, allowing for a Pokémon battle experience unlike anything seen before. ▼ "Mega Evolution" is the key to this game. In Miare City, you'll often see "Mega Evolution," an evolution that goes beyond evolution. Some Pokémon can undergo "Mega Evolution," which temporarily releases the Pokémon's hidden power, resulting in a power-up that exceeds that of normal evolution. How you use this "Mega Evolution" is also a key point in the game.
