This is a 1/75 scale wooden architectural model of the Rurikoji Temple Five-Story Pagoda from WoodyJOE.
It was completed around 1442 (the second year of the Kakitsu era) during the Muromachi period (built by Ouchi Morimi to mourn his brother Ouchi Yoshihiro).
The pagoda is made entirely of cypress, measures three bays square, has three-pronged joinery, a central bay sash, and features a veranda only on the second floor, with Ouchi diamond carvings on each side of the walls.
The architectural style is Japanese, but some Zen (Chinese) elements are incorporated, such as the inverted lotus-shaped balustrades on the veranda and the circular pedestal.
The nine rings on the spire are also equipped with wind chimes, and the pagoda is 31.2 meters tall and has a cypress bark roof.
It is the 10th oldest tower in Japan and is a beautiful sight that ranks alongside those at Daigoji Temple in Kyoto and Horyuji Temple in Nara as one of Japan's three most famous pagodas.
