This is a vintage stained glass glass (with certificate and box) made by the now out-of-print American company Glass Masters based on Jean Hagala's girls and girl dolls.
The original is a work called Emily by American artist Jan Hagala, which depicts many Victorian-style watercolors of boys and girls with a fresh touch. It was released in the 1980s as a series called Visions of Childhood Collection, and there are eight works in total.
It is a portrait of a cute girl holding an antique doll, and the pattern on the background is also atmospheric, resembling the gold leather paper wallpaper of luxurious Western-style buildings from the Meiji to early Showa eras, such as the Iwasaki residence in Ueno and the Maeda residence in Komaba.
The flat glass is painted with transparent enamel painting and has an undulating surface, and the frame is made of wood and gilded.
And since it is handmade and undergoes a firing process, it will not fade over time.
When the light shines through it, stained glass reveals an amazingly beautiful, elegant color and presence.
There is also a text "Jan Hagara 1979" at the bottom.
This piece has a hook and chain on the top for hanging on the wall, so it can be used for a variety of purposes.
