In the Imabari towel production area, to ensure quality, the Shikoku Towel Industry Association sets its own quality standards (for example, the "5-second rule" for measuring water absorption, which is the time it takes for a towel to start sinking when placed in water, as well as pile retention and colorfastness), and only towels that meet these standards are permitted to use the brand mark and logo. They are towels that are comfortable to use and have a low environmental impact, being considerate of both people and the planet. The woven SOUSOU label is a key feature. (C)SOU・SOU
