"KATOMOKU Building Blocks" This time, we're introducing KATOMOKU's standard building blocks. The piece size is standardized to match many other building blocks on the market by using a basic base size of 45mm, allowing for easy mixing and playing with other building blocks. The corners are slightly larger than those of other building blocks. The corners can also be made to stand up, and even adults may find themselves more engrossed than they expected. The case is made of paulownia wood so that the building blocks can be carefully stored for a long time and can be by children even when they grow up. Kato Mokko Co., Ltd.'s predecessor, Kato Mokkosho, was founded by Shigeichi Kato, who returned from the war and his wartime woodworking skills to start a business in his hometown of Gujo Hachiman, making wooden toys. After that, many people started making wooden toys, and it became such a large industry in Gujo at the time that the "Gujo Hachiman Toy Cooperative" was formed. However, Kato Mokko shifted its focus to mandolin making in 1970. After approximately 50 years, the KATOMOKU brand is reviving wooden toys, and we hope to gradually increase the range of toys we offer in the future.
