Uses for each grit

1. 60 grit (Yellow, coarsest) Largest abrasive grains. For fast trimming, removing large chipped edges and excess sharp corners after tile cutting. It delivers the strongest cutting performance. Deep scratches will remain on the surface after grinding, not for final finishing. 2. 100 grit (Red, medium coarse) Transition grade after rough grinding. It removes deep heavy scratches left by 60-grit, further smooths edges. Scratches are lighter than those from 60-grit, still in the trimming stage. 3. 200 grit (Blue, medium fine) Medium polishing. It further fades grinding marks from previous steps. Edges become smooth, yet the surface does not gain high gloss. 4. 400 grit (Green, finest) Fine finishing polishing. Final buffing work. Leaves tile edges with a smooth soft surface, very faint scratches and the best gloss performance.

Standard grinding sequence for tile / sintered stone edge work 60 grit (fix large chips) 100 grit (transition grinding) 200 grit 400 grit (final polish) Always remove all scratches from the previous coarser grit before switching to a finer one.
