9V 12V 18650 Lithium Battery Boost Step Up Module UPS Uninterruptible Module Charge Discharge Electronic Kit
Features:
1. Equipped with a UPS circuit, it enables seamless switching between mains and battery power without delay.
2. Can be powered by a single battery, which can be swapped out and replaced at any time.
3. Suitable for uninterruptible power supply solutions for low-power DC equipment and instruments, with automatic restart during power outages and automatic charging upon power on.
4. Extends beyond UPS functionality; can be used as a low-power mobile power bank or as a temporary emergency charger for lithium batteries.
5. Equipped with a universal Type-C charging port for direct DC 5V input to charge lithium batteries.
Product Parameters:
When outputting 9V: Maximum current 500mA
When outputting 12V: Maximum current 350mA
Note: Charging current should be greater than or equal to the output current.
Load power: UPS output +- connected to load, recommended normal operation <5W, transient operation <8W.
Module Dimensions: 89*22*22.4mm (SMD battery compartment on the back)
89*22*38.5mm (DIP battery compartment on the back)
Module mounting hole diameter: 3mm
Main Functions:
1) Lithium battery charging
2) Lithium battery protection (short circuit, overvoltage, undervoltage)
3) Boost output (9V/12V selectable)
4) Also equipped with a universal Type-C charging port for direct DC 5V input to charge lithium batteries
5) Two-color LED indicator: solid red during charging, solid green when fully charged, automatically stopping charging
6) UPS Power Outage Principle:
When power is on, power is directly supplied to the load via the power supply via the boost circuit.
If power is lost, power is automatically supplied to the load via the battery via the boost circuit.
When power is restored, power is restored to the load and the battery is also charged.
7) Interface Description (see image above): The Type-C port and the standard 5V+ and 5V- inputs are external power ports; either one is acceptable. The output ports are labeled UPS+ and UPS-. A battery holder is soldered onto the back to connect an 18650 lithium battery. Wires can also be soldered to connect other lithium batteries.
Notes:
Booster Board Note: The boost circuit uses a switch to control its operation.
You can also directly short-circuit the circuit using jumper pads. (Switch required.)
1. When using the UPS, short-circuit the UPS output switch to keep the output on. This allows the battery to be used during power outages. (Please note this during use; many customers forget to short-circuit the switch.)
2. When using the UPS as a power bank, you can add a switch to the UPS output port to turn it off when not in use, eliminating static power consumption. If you prefer not to connect a switch, you can short-circuit the circuit. After testing, remove the output indicator to reduce current consumption by 10 to 20 mA.
3. During operation, the board may enter a protection state (lithium battery overcharge protection, over-discharge protection, current limiting protection, overtemperature protection, output short-circuit protection, etc.) due to accidental contact, incorrect connection, short circuit, etc. To reactivate the output, connect 5V to the charging port after troubleshooting the issue. 4. If the battery continues to discharge after power is disconnected, connect a 1K resistor in parallel with the 5V input. 5. When soldering, ensure the soldering iron is grounded (and the power strip ground wire is conductive), and wear anti-static gloves.
