Butyl Cord 4.1 , 12 , Black, Self-Adhesive, Waterproof And Vapor-Tight, On Silicone Paper

Butyl cord Ø 4.1 - 12 m, black is a self-adhesive, permanently plastic sealant based on butyl rubber (IIR) for connections that do not bear mechanical loads. It provides water and vapor tightness and very good adhesion to most building materials.

The 4.1 mm diameter variant is supplied on a 12 m roll, in black, on a silicone paper carrier, which facilitates installation.

Advantages and unique features

• "Everlasting": self-bonding, permanently sticky and permanently plastic - easily adapts to the joint.

• Water and vapor tight, resistant to aging and weather conditions.

• Solvent-free, non-toxic and odorless.

• Silicone paper carrier - quick, clean application from a roll.

Properties and Applications

• Sealing joints: roofing membrane overlaps, lightweight construction materials, gaps (inside and outside).

• Anti-corrosion protection: spacer between metallic elements.

• Chemical resistance: to most diluted acids and alkalis in the pH range of 5–9; not resistant to oils and organic solvents.

• Application: dry and degreased substrate; peel off the paper, stick it and press it with a roller/roller.

1) Is the rope resistant to weather conditions?

Yes - the material is resistant to aging and weather conditions.

2) On what carrier is it delivered?

On silicone-coated paper (makes application easier).

3) What should it not be used with?

It is not resistant to oils and organic solvents; tests are recommended for some materials due to possible migration of plasticizers.
