WEICON Silicone F is a liquid, self-leveling, solvent-free, one-component silicone with neutral cross-linking. It can be used for elastic connections, insulating, impregnating, sealing, and potting technical components.

Applications of WEICON Silicone F

Silicone F is designed for applications requiring a liquid silicone that is capable of self-flowing over the surface. It can be used for sealing and potting technical components up to a maximum thickness of 10 mm, as well as for insulating and impregnating.

The product adheres well to steel, aluminum, glass, ceramics, and many other materials. WEICON recommends its use, among others, for: in machine and plant construction, plastics processing, energy and electrical engineering, as well as in the construction of displays and shop fittings.

Surface preparation and application

Surfaces should be clean and degreased. The manufacturer recommends WEICON Surface Cleaner to remove oil, grease, dust, and other dirt. For heavily soiled metal surfaces, Cleaner Spray S can be used. For specific adhesion requirements, the manufacturer recommends a suitable primer or mechanical surface preparation.

Silicone F can be applied using a 310 ml cartridge gun, a pneumatic gun, or an automatic dispensing system. Application temperature is +5°C to +40°C. The components to be joined must be brought together before a skin forms.
