LOXEAL 5811 is a single-component, medium-strength, high-viscosity, PTFE-modified anaerobic sealant for sealing conical-cylindrical metal threads of various sizes for hydraulic and pneumatic components.
The product also provides anti-corrosion protection. It is particularly suitable for applications requiring difficult disassembly and where high media pressures may occur in the sealed systems. The adhesive is shock and vibration resistant and maintains sealing properties within an operating temperature range of -55°C to +150°C.
Loxeal 58-11 is an approved thread sealant for gas installations (DVGW in accordance with DIN EN 751-1), high-pressure gas installations and LPG installations for systems operating at pressures up to 20 bar (Australian Gas Association - Approval No.
5048). It is also approved for oxygen installations at working pressures up to 10 bar and temperatures up to +60°C (BAM 1432/95 4-755). It is also approved for use in drinking water installations (WRAS No.
1310513). It has been registered under the NSF P1 category (No. 141234) as a sealant approved for use in food production and processing.

The adhesive creates a flexible bond that replaces other thread sealing methods: yarn, tow, pastes, Teflon tape, etc. The product is resistant to gas, air, water, oils, alkalis, fuels, and many other chemicals, as well as to impact and vibration. It maintains its properties over a wide range of operating temperatures. It is particularly suitable for applications requiring occasional disassembly of threaded connections with standard tools. The addition of a fluorescent substance allows the presence of adhesive in the thread to be detected using a UV lamp. The tightness of the connection is achieved when the threads are completely filled with adhesive. This also provides protection against corrosion.
