Loctite Sf 7649 150 Anaerobic Adhesive Activator Spray For Accelerating Cure On Passive Metals, With Large Gaps And At Low Temperatures

Enables quick bonding on passive metals, with large gaps and at low temperatures.

Advantages and unique features

• Effective on passive metals (e.g. stainless steel) and at low ambient temperatures.

• Very low viscosity - fast evaporation, uniform surface activation.

• Can be applied by brush or spray.

• NSF P1 and NSF/ANSI 61 registered (drinking water - no food contact).

Properties and applications

• Applications: surface preparation for: retaining, sealing and securing threads, sealing surfaces (gasketing) and anaerobic priming.

• Application method: apply a thin layer to one or both surfaces to be joined (brush/spray), allow the solvent to evaporate completely (approx. 30–70 s), then apply the anaerobic product and assemble.

• Life of the activated surface: up to 30 days (protect from contamination).

The activator is highly flammable - store tightly closed in a cool and dry place, away from oxidizers and sources of ignition. Photosensitive product - keep the container away from light. Do not mix directly with liquid glue. Use in well-ventilated rooms; The solvent may affect some materials.

1) When is it worth using an activator?

When the anaerobic adhesive sets too slowly (low temperature, passive metals, larger gap) or a very quick "grab" is needed.

2) How long can bonding be carried out after activation?

Usually up to 30 days - provided that the surfaces remain clean and uncontaminated.

3) Can it be used in water installations?

Yes, the product is NSF/ANSI 61 registered (up to 82 °C); the adhesives/sealants themselves should be selected according to their approvals.
