Futakoshi Chirimen is a traditional Japanese textile, sometimes referred to as "ancient chirimen."

The term "koshi" refers to the number of weft threads. "Hitokoshi chirimen" is woven by alternating one right-twisted thread and one left-twisted thread, while "Futakoshi chirimen" is woven with two threads of each.

Futakoshi chirimen features larger and deeper crinkles (shibo) compared to hitokoshi.

It is a quintessential chirimen fabric that is airy, soft to the touch, lightweight, and possesses natural elasticity.
