Oedo-koh Yuna no Shizuku (Bathhouse Dew) 60 Sticks with Incense Stand

Incense

"Kodo" (the way of incense) spread from the nobility to the wealthy, including the daimyo. Among the common people, the desire for aromatic wood was also strong, appearing glamorously in Kabuki and Joruri performances. Furthermore, hair styling wax scented with a crude drug called "Kyara oil" became a huge hit. The word "Kyara" was even used as an expression to describe something "wonderful." This is a fragrance inspired by "Kyara," which was the object of such admiration for the people of the Edo period.
