Its duties include penetrating the stratum corneum of the epidermis and allowing active ingredients to penetrate the deeper layers of the skin.

I entrusted the role of chamberlain to my trusted jasmine flower extract, which moisturizes and firms the skin. The steward in my court, on the other hand, is mallow flower extract—its task is to create a protective film on the skin's surface, limiting water evaporation from the epidermis.
