TYT TH-UV88 is TYT's response to the Baofeng UV-5R and Baofeng UV-82 models. It must be admitted that the response is very successful.

5W of output power in the 136-174MHz and 400-480MHz bands (the so-called unlocked version), FM radio (66-108MHz), CTCSS and DCS, scrambler (simple encryption), 200 memory channels, CTCSS and DCS scanner are just the most important functions of the TYT TH-UV88 radio.

An extensive, 41-position menu allows you to set the frequency scanner, adjustable white backlight of the screen displaying two frequencies/channels, dual watch (alternately listening to two frequencies) or three-stage transmitter power adjustment (5/2.5/1W for the VHF 136-174 MHZ band and 4/2/1W for the UHF 400-480 MHz band).

The excellent material used for the production of the housing makes the slightly rough housing make the TYT TH-UV88 fit perfectly in your hand.

Thanks to its wide operating range, the radio allows you to listen to shortwave bands, Police, Fire Department, Emergency Services, Railway Station, Taxi, Security, all other uniformed and municipal services.

The power base allows you to charge both the entire radio and the battery.

TYT TH-UV88 can be programmed via computer using the same cable as the Baofeng UV-5R or Baofeng UV-82.

The radio is not factory-programmed.

To be able to use it immediately after purchase, it must be properly programmed!

After purchase, please include the frequencies to which you would like the radio programmed in the notes to buyer!

The radio can be programmed using appropriate computer software and a special PC programming cable, which can be purchased as optional equipment.

Any programming and modifications to the original settings must be performed by a specialist technician or authorized service center. Some radio functions may be programmed in violation of legal regulations in force in a given area or country in the VHF and UHF bands of this radio.

It is the sole responsibility of the user to ensure that any changes made through optional reprogramming comply with current radio regulations and laws in that area. Making any changes to the designed current levels within the radio (including device power), the external structure of the radio, or programming that violates the regulations of a given country automatically voids the product's certificates of declared conformity and the owner's right to use the device.

This liability also falls upon third parties and resellers of such a product after the aforementioned modifications have been made.
