Microphone Wind and Shock Shield System

Nano Shield is the latest wind and shock shield system.

The kits are smaller and approximately 30% lighter than standard Zeppelin Modular Windshields, and the new Lyre mounts are more flexible and offer better vibration damping from holding a boom or handle.

The NS3-CB kit fits shotgun microphones up to 202mm long with an XLR connector.

Lighter, smaller, more flexible

Nano Shield sets are approx. 30% lighter than standard windscreens.

The basket frame is made of a material that perfectly combines strength and flexibility.

The basket also features a unique magnetic connection system, which is universal for the entire system.

This provides quick and easy access to the microphone without unnecessary twisting.

The basket halves can be changed (other sizes available separately) to fit the windscreen to the microphone currently in use.

Improved suspension Lyre

Rycote has improved its patented suspension system for Lyre microphones, designing it specifically for the Nano Shield.

Significant improvements have been made to the materials, dimensions, center of gravity, and other technical features.

Lyre mounts on the main boom can be attached, moved, and removed without the use of any tools, using just a single knob at the end of the boom.

The articulating arm has interchangeable ends (Rycote PCS quick-release or standard 3/8" thread), which can be changed by unscrewing the tilt lock knob.

Classic Windjammer Fur

The set also includes the classic Windjammer fur - a high-quality cover that provides the highest protection against wind noise caused by extremely strong gusts.

The combination of Windjammer and Nano Shield covers allows for wind noise reduction by up to -50dB, ensuring excellent audio recording quality.

The Windjammer does not affect any sound frequency.
