AudioCircle IQ-X6.5 Tesla Coax – 165 mm speakers for Tesla Model S and Model X

AudioCircle IQ-X6.5 Tesla Coax are 2-way coaxial speakers in the OEM size of 165 mm, designed for installation in the front doors of Tesla Model S and Tesla Model X cars. The set belongs to the IQ Line series of the German brand AudioCircle and has been prepared as a replacement for the factory car speakers.

The IQ-X6.5 Tesla Coax model allows you to improve the sound quality of your Tesla's factory audio system without any visible interior modifications. The speakers fit into the original mounting locations in the front doors and feature an OEM-sized basket with an integrated connector for the factory wiring harness.

Improved Sound in Tesla Model S and Model X

The factory audio systems in Tesla vehicles can sound good, but upgrading the front speakers to higher-end drivers can significantly improve the clarity, detail, and dynamics of the sound. The AudioCircle IQ-X6.5 Tesla Coax is designed for this type of upgrade.

By upgrading the factory speakers, you can experience more natural vocals, clearer highs, and better midrange control. For an even stronger and more dynamic effect, it is worth combining the set with a high-quality external amplifier.

The most important advantages of the AudioCircle IQ-X6.5 Tesla Coax

• Mounting in the front doors in the factory OEM locations,

• Size 165 mm / 6.5 inches,

• 2-way coaxial design,

• OEM basket with integrated connector to the factory harness,

• Mid-woofer cone made of coated fiberglass,

• Flexible rubber upper suspension,

• 25 mm silk tweeter,

• Built-in 6 dB/oct HP filter. for the tweeter,

• impedance 2 Ohm matched to the Tesla system,

• efficiency 90 dB,

• RMS power 65 W,

• frequency response 60–20,000 Hz.

Natural highs and detailed sound

High frequencies are provided by a 25 mm silk dome. The tweeter plays smoothly, naturally, and in detail, giving the music more detail without a sharp, fatiguing character.

A built-in 6 dB/oct. HP filter at 4800 Hz protects the tweeter and helps properly divide the frequency range between the tweeter and the mid-woofer. This allows the system to create a cohesive sound in the Tesla's front doors.

Glass fiber mid-woofer

The mid-woofer utilizes a 165 mm cone-shaped diaphragm made of coated fiberglass. This design combines stiffness, low mass, and good diaphragm control. The result is more precise sound, and midrange frequencies become clearer.

The rubber upper suspension improves the speaker's durability and stability. This makes the system suitable for both everyday listening and louder listening.

OEM installation without modifications

The AudioCircle IQ-X6.5 Tesla Coax is designed to fit in the factory front door locations of the Tesla Model S and Tesla Model X. The OEM-sized plastic basket and integrated connector to the factory wiring harness make installation easy.

This is an important solution for Tesla owners who want to improve the sound while maintaining the original appearance of the cabin. The kit does not require any visible changes to the door trim.

For the factory system and external amplifier

The 2-ohm impedance has been selected so that the speakers work well with the other components of the factory Tesla audio system. The amplifier's minimum RMS power is 12 W, so the kit can also work in systems without major modifications.

However, you will achieve the best results by using an external amplifier with an RMS power of over 30 W per channel. This will allow the speakers to demonstrate greater dynamics, better control, and a fuller sound character.
