Will your computer fit?

Colloquially, the diagonal of the display is used to determine the size of a laptop, however, this is not an exact measurement, especially since each model may have a wider or narrower bezel, and your laptop may be thinner or thicker.

Additionally, depending on the age of the computer, the display may have an aspect ratio of 4:3, 16:10 or 16:9 with the same screen diagonal.

This means that a 15" display may have dimensions of 30.5 x 22.9 cm, 32.3 x 20.2 cm or 33.2 x 18.7 cm, and in fact, by delving further into the arithmetic, we cannot determine whether a given laptop will fit in a backpack's laptop compartment or not.

The easiest way is to check your own laptop with a tape measure, ruler or centimeter thickness (dimension A in the graphic) and shorter side of the laptop (dimension B in the graphic).

How to fit a backpack?

You need to measure the shoulder width and back height.

1. To do this, first determine the shoulder width.

So, as it is reflected in the graphic (2 x B) + A = width

To do this, simply take a centimeter and measure the distance between the ends of the shoulders, or measure the distance A, which is the distance between the left and right collarbone, placing the centimeter on the back line, and add 2 x B, where B is the distance from the collarbone to the end of the shoulder, or simply add 2-3 cm for each shoulder to the measured dimension A.

2. The optimal height of the backpack will be determined by counting

C + D = height

Here again we have two methods. Either measure the height from the shoulder to the hip, or first determine the C dimension by counting it from the shoulder to the waist, which is the height of the navel, and then add 4-5 cm, which will be the equivalent of the D
