Material and Durability

The elbow is made of malleable cast iron, which is characterized by high mechanical and pressure resistance. A hot-dip galvanized zinc coating with a thickness exceeding 70 µm provides effective anti-corrosion protection.

This ensures that the element retains its properties for many years of use, even in demanding installation conditions. The combination of cast iron and galvanized steel guarantees durability, moisture resistance, and rust protection.

Construction and Installation

The elbow has two 3/4" internal threads (F/F), enabling easy connection to pipes or fittings with external threads. The 45° angle allows for smoother installation in places where it is necessary to bypass other pipes, pass through a wall, or make a branch at an angle other than 90°.

Installation is simple and is carried out using standard sealing materials such as hemp tow or PTFE tape. The solid construction ensures tightness and security of connections.

The IDMAR 45° female elbow is used in water supply and sanitary installations, both in residential buildings and in industrial and public facilities. It can be used to transmit cold and hot domestic water (DHW), but is not intended for central heating (CH) installations, where the medium temperature exceeds 55-60°C.

It is also not suitable for gas installations – the zinc coating may react with the gas, leading to the formation of deposits and the risk of system damage. The product is certified for use in drinking water installations, making it a safe and universal solution for many types of systems.
