CO2 diffusers should ensure the best gas solubility, should not be fragile, meaning they're easy to destroy (like glass ones), and should not be "ugly" (like plastic ones). It's also best if they're not too expensive and come in a variety of sizes to choose the right one for your aquarium.
Which diffuser meets all these features?
There are many models available that meet one, or at most two, of the above-mentioned features. For example: glass with ceramic - dissolves well (but not always) and certainly looks nice, but is very fragile and expensive.
Another: plastic - usually dissolves well and is impossible to destroy - but is ugly and also expensive. Which one should you choose in this situation?
The only answer to these questions, and the only diffuser on the market that meets all aquarists' expectations, is the Neo Diffuser. Why? More on that below. It's worth reading, as this isn't just another silly advertisement.
Ceramic fiber sinter (not to be confused with ceramic sinter):
The ceramic mass is fired, and then small channels are created - this is how a ceramic sinter, one might say a standard one, is made. What is ceramic fiber sinter?
The ceramic mass is subjected to a high electromagnetic pulse, which forms fibers. Then they are sintered, then formed into a sinter under high pressure, and fired again.
This processing creates micro-pores with a much smaller diameter and much larger number than regular sinter. Fiber sinter is not only much denser but also harder and more durable than regular sinter. It does not "work out" over time and does not crack.
A natural consequence of the innovative fiber sinter is the ability to use a smaller diffuser in a given aquarium.
Until now, it was assumed that a 2cm diameter diffuser was intended for a 150-200l aquarium. The Neo Diffuser with a 1.7cm diameter supports aquariums up to 250l.
Yes, the Neo diffuser is nice. But plants, not diffusers, should be the aquarium's decoration. Therefore, the smaller size of the diffuser positively affects the aquarium's aesthetics.
As nice as glass. 100% transparent and aesthetic, but unlike glass, indestructible. Acrylic ensures perfect transparency, making the diffuser practically invisible in the tank and allowing the use of the bubble counter mounted inside.
Clip in the tube. What is it?
As shown in the photos, the elbow has not entirely parallel ends. Why? Well, the elbow is flexible. You can freely extend them to any aquarium wall up to 12mm thick. The U-tube will firmly "clamp" to the glass, keeping the tubes in place.
