Some know them as chickpeas, others as chickpeas – a representative of the legume seeds. Chickpeas belong to the Fabaceae family, the most common species being the common chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.), also known as chickpeas.
Chickpeas are undoubtedly most famous in the world thanks to hummus. Hummus is a spread made from chickpeas, which has gone crazy all over the world. Falafel is also equally well-known and popular. Chickpeas are perfect as an addition to one-pot vegetarian dishes – stews, curries, and for preparing cutlets and meatballs.
