KATO N Gauge EF65 500 Series P-Type Limited Express Color 3060-4 Model Train Electric Locomotive

The EF65 500 series was introduced between 1964 and 1965, based on the EF60, to haul the 20-series sleeper limited express trains—the star of the Tokaido Main Line at the time—as well as the Koki 10000 series high-speed freight trains. A key feature is the difference in equipment between the passenger version (P-type) and the freight version (F-type). Additionally, due to a shortage of passenger locomotives, eight units were converted and incorporated from the EF65 0 series. Equipped with a slotless motor for smoother operation.
