This is a new insect specimen preparation kit that uses a coating process, eliminating the need for syringes, insect pins, and other tools.
Anyone can easily create beautiful specimens.
[Creation Procedure]
● Clean any dirt from the insect specimen (ideally one that has been dead for about 10 days) using a damp tissue or the included tweezers.
● Place the insect you want to preserve with its abdomen facing upwards, gently hold it down with chopsticks, and apply hot air from a hairdryer from a distance of 10 cm for about 2 minutes to soften its body.
● Open the bottom of the included bag wide so that it does not tip over, then place all the insects to be preserved and the coating agent inside, and securely close the zipper of the bag.
● Rotate the bag slowly to ensure the coating agent adheres well to the insects.
● Use chopsticks to remove any excess coating from the insect,
Place it on the stand you made earlier, use tweezers to shape the claws so they catch on the sponge, and let it dry for about an hour.
● After attaching the name sticker to the sponge, gently press down on the opening of the case to widen it into an oval shape, and slowly place the stand into the case, starting with the insect's head.
(At this time, place the stand so that it aligns with the line on the top surface of the case.)
● Close the cap tightly and it's done.
[Points to note]
This product is for insects.
Do not use for purposes other than its intended use.
• This product is prepared using a coating process, which may impair the natural texture of the insect itself. Please be aware of this beforehand.
• The coating agent contains organic solvents, so be sure to ventilate the area well when preparing it, and do not do so in hot summer weather.
Also, if it comes into contact with your skin, wash it off immediately with water.
- Ideally, insects as specimens should be about 10 days old.
Please note that insects that have been around for a long time may have weakened joints, and the specimen itself may break during preparation.
After using the coating agent for specimen preparation, spread it on newspaper or similar material outdoors away from open flames and allow it to dry completely before disposing of it as general waste.
