The YT-73081 multimeter with a manual range for each measurement allows you to perform basic and advanced electrical measurements.
An additional and useful option is the 1.5V and 9V battery test, which allows you to check the voltage of the tested battery under load. This will help assess its condition and rule out or confirm the need for replacement.
• AC voltage measurement: A.C. 0-600V
• DC voltage measurement: D.C. 0-600V
• DC current measurement: D.C. 0-10A
• Resistance measurement: 0-2MΩ
• Diode test: IF 1mA, UR 2.4V
• Continuity test: 0-100Ω
• hFe transistor test: 0-1000, built-in measurement socket
• 1.5V battery test with load resistance of approx. 3kΩ
• 9V battery test with load resistance of approx. 900Ω
Example of determining the accuracy of a voltage measurement alternating current AC. Calculations for the measurement result: 235V
• The measurement accuracy of the YT-73081 meter for this range is: ±(2% + 10), resolution 1V
• Calculations of the measurement error: formula: (measurement result x 2%) + 10 x resolution
• Calculations: (235 x 2%) + 10 x 1 = 4.7 + 10 = 14.7V
Result taking into account the measurement error for the 235V reading = 235 ± 14.7V*
• Result taking into account the measurement error for the DC voltage reading: 12V = 12 ± 0.146V
Table with resolution and accuracy for a given measurement can be found in the user manual.
*The YT-73081 meter does not have a true RMS measurement function, therefore the above result is the real effective value of the AC voltage only for a correct sinusoidal waveform.
• 1.5 and 9V battery test - during the test, the meter draws a small amount of current from the battery, thanks to which we obtain 100% of the information needed to assess whether a given power source will be able to power our device.
For complete information, it is worth first measuring the DC voltage and then comparing the result with the value from the battery test. Too large a drop or low voltage is a clear signal that the power source needs to be replaced.
• DATA HOLD [H] - retaining the currently measured value on the display.
• LCD display, maximum displayed result:1999
• Screen backlight
• Audible signal in the continuity test for resistance below 30Ω.
• Test probes included.
• Design with overload protection for low current measurements, no fuse for current measurements up to 10A.
• Housing made of ABS plastic + so-called holster, i.e. a rubber casing protecting the meter against mechanical damage
• low battery indicator
• power supply: two 1.5V (AAA) batteries
