Professional thread repair kit M5-M12. The drills and taps are made of HSS 4341 high-speed steel. Single-step taps cut a thread into which a hard stainless steel spiral insert is inserted. The insert is inserted using a guide knob and a drift, which breaks off the protruding tip of the insert.
The set is designed for 5 thread types: M5 x 0.8 x 6.7 mm, M6 x 1.0 x 10.8 mm, M8 x 1.25 x 10.8 mm, M10 x 1.5 x 13.5 mm, M12 x 1.75 x 16.3 mm.

How to use
- Determine the size of the damaged thread, and then select a repair kit of the same size.
- Drill out the damaged thread with the drill from the set.
- Then tap it using the tap included in the set. The tap should be mounted
in the tap knob. The knob is not included in the kit.
- Place the cartridge on the spiral cartridge knob so that the cross section of the cartridge is in the knob's slot. Then secure the cartridge with a ring so that it does not stretch during
screwing. Secure the ring with a screw.
- Screw the cartridge completely into the previously threaded hole. Pull out the knob. Using a pin,
break off the transverse part of the insert.
- Screw the screw into the repaired thread.
