What is ETRTO size and why is it worth considering?

ETRTO size is a standard way of designating tire size, developed by the European Tyre and Rim Technical Organization. It allows you to easily check if a new tire will fit your bike.

The format is e.g. 40-622, where:

• 40 mm – tire width,

• 622 mm – inner tire diameter, i.e. rim size.

Note! The diameter (second number) must be identical to that of your current tire – this cannot be changed. The width (first number) can be adjusted as long as it fits within the bike frame.
