[How to Use the Double-Sided Diamond Whetstone]

① Use while applying water to the whetstone surface.

② Sharpen as you would with a conventional whetstone.

③ This whetstone is for coarse grinding and medium finishing.

[How to Sharpen a Knife]

※ Sharpen while applying water.

The approximate angle at which to apply the blade to the whetstone is the angle at which three 10-yen coins would fit under the spine of the knife.

① Slowly move the knife back and forth to sharpen, grinding the entire blade from tip to heel until a burr forms.

② Once one side is sharpened, flip the knife over and sharpen the other side, maintaining the same angle.

③ Tilt the knife as much as possible and lightly apply it to the whetstone, rubbing it in the direction of the arrow several times to remove the burr and finish.

※ Using a commercially available whetstone base will make the work easier.
