A tight-fitting lid with a perfectly fitting seal minimizes the possibility of leaks and maximizes heat retention for a long time, up to 10 hours.

What is vacuum insulation?

Vacuum means that the air between the outer and inner layers of stainless steel has been removed to create a vacuum insulation. This blocks heat transfer through the air (conduction). ZOJIRUSHI vacuum insulation also includes a layer of copper or aluminum tightly wrapped around an outer inner layer of stainless steel.
