ILLBRUCK ME220 EPDM APRON

ME220 foil, an elastomeric membrane based on synthetic rubber, is designed for sealing joints between windows, as well as joints between curtain wall elements (mullion-transom) with structures made of aluminum profiles, and construction of buildings.

When you buy 5 pieces, you get 5 meters in one piece. The maximum length is 25 m.

• Excellent resistance to aging and UV radiation

• Resistant to driving rain (in the illbruck EPDM system up to 1200 Pa) and airtightness (in the illbruck EPDM system a < 0.1)

• Tested in the most difficult working conditions

• Recommended for use with OT015 adhesives (for non-porous substrates) and CT113 (for porous substrates)

• The substrate must be dry, free of oil, grease, dust and other contaminants that would hinder adhesion.

• ME901 Primer butyl & bitumen as a primer (adhesion increase): Airing time approx. 10 – 40 minutes, depending on the temperature. Consumption approx. 125 ml/m2 or approx. 200 m/l at a width of 4 cm (depending on the porosity of the substrate) or ME902 Primer butyl & Bitumen in aerosol: approx.

50 m² from one canister/25 m² on a highly absorbent substrate.

• ME220 should be unrolled from the roll and cut to the desired length.

• Apply illbruck OT015 or CT113 EPDM foil adhesive to the substrate.

• Press the EPDM foil onto the substrate and, if necessary, lift it so that the solvent can escape in the case of larger surfaces. from the adhesive.

• Then stick the EPDM foil to the substrate and press thoroughly using a pressure roller.

• The EPDM foil with an adhesive layer (self-adhesive strip and/or butyl) can be glued directly to a suitable substrate (self-adhesive strip for a smooth substrate, e.g. PVC, butyl e.g. for masonry, plaster) and pressed with a roller.

• In the case of butyl glue, it may be necessary to prime the substrate with Primer ME901 or Primer aerosol ME902 (in the case of EPDM adhesives, if properly prepared, priming is not necessary).

• The ME220 foil should be glued without tension.
