Odate Magewappa Rice Container (3-cup size)

This is a 3-cup rice container made from natural Akita cedar. The wood's natural breathing process absorbs excess moisture, preserving the flavor and resulting in delicious rice. Because it's unpainted, you can feel the natural warmth of the wood. It holds a little over 3 cups of rice (roughly enough for 3 people). Outer diameter of the rice container: 22.5 cm. The traditional rice container, handcrafted by artisans, enhances the deliciousness of the rice even further. A rice paddle is also included. Wooden rice containers are gentle on rice; their natural humidity control absorbs excess moisture, and when the rice dries out, they release moisture, preventing oxidation and preserving its flavor. Since we eat rice every day, it's worth paying attention to how delicious it is.
