Converse Jack Purcell Zip Ox 'Americana' (Unisex) White / Garnet Canvas Shoes 164836C

The Converse Jack Purcell is a classic Converse shoe model personally designed by Jack Purcell—the badminton world of that era—according to the specific requirements of badminton, and named after him. It was originally manufactured by the B.F. Goodrich Company. In 1973, Converse acquired B.F. Goodrich’s footwear division. Influenced by Kurt Cobain, lead singer of Nirvana, the Converse Jack Purcell surged in popularity and maintained its cultural influence for decades thereafter. Its Chinese name is 'Kai Kou Xiao' (‘Smiling Mouth’), derived from the distinctive ‘SMILE’-shaped curve at the toe of the shoe.
