? THOMSON THT82 – enjoy new, free DVB-T2 television with an invisible, miniature decoder
The Thomson THT82 is a modern digital terrestrial television decoder that solves the problem of the lack of a suitable DVB-T2 (HEVC/H.265) tuner in older TVs. Unlike traditional, large "boxes" that take up space on the table under the TV, the THT82 is an HDMI Stick device.
This miniature decoder is small enough to plug directly into the port on the back of the TV – making it completely invisible to the eye. Enjoy the latest, free terrestrial television in amazing HD quality, without unsightly cables and without buying a new, expensive TV!
⚡ The most important advantages of the decoder
• ? Compliance with the new standard in Poland - the equipment supports the DVB-T2 system with the advanced HEVC / H.265 video codec. This means a full guarantee of receiving all free channels without interference
• ? Completely invisible (Mini Stick) – plug it into the back of the TV like a large flash drive. The device disappears from view; no more dusting off black boxes under the screen.
• ? Power supplied directly from the TV (USB) – forget about searching for an additional wall socket! The decoder draws the necessary power via a USB cable, directly from the port on your TV.
• ⏯️ Timeshift function – need to urgently go to the kitchen or answer the phone? Use the Timeshift function and rewind your favorite program so you don't miss a second of the action (requires a USB flash drive).
• ? PVR program recording – thanks to the USB port, you can connect an external drive or a fast flash drive to record selected programs and series on demand (or according to a pre-programmed 7-day EPG schedule).
• ? Dolby Digital Plus sound support – enjoy high-quality surround sound transmitted directly to your TV or home cinema via HDMI
? The perfect solution for:
• a TV hung on a wall – if your TV is mounted on a bracket and you don't have a cabinet underneath for a traditional decoder, this "pluggable" model is the absolute number one choice
• for a computer monitor with speakers – turn an old monitor with an HDMI input into a fully-fledged, modern TV with digital terrestrial television programs
• trips to the plot, camping or hotel – the device is so miniature (only 10 cm long and weighing 120 grams) that it will fit in the smallest pocket of your suitcase
⚙️ How does it actually work and how do I control it?
Installation is like playing with blocks. Remove the "cap" and push the decoder directly into a free HDMI input on the back of the TV. You connect your TV antenna (roof or indoor) to the decoder. Power is supplied via the included cable directly from the USB port on the TV.
Wondering how the TV remote will "see" the decoder hidden at the back? Thomson has solved this ingeniously – the box includes a so-called "IR extender" (infrared sensor on a cable) that you pull out to the front (e.g.
by sticking it to the edge of the TV with tape), and thus conveniently switch channels from the couch using the included remote control!
