Adidas Womens Superstar 'Cherry Blossom' (women's sizes) Cloud White / Periwinkle / Copper Metalic Skate Shoes CG5939

The adidas Originals Superstar was launched in 1969 as the first low-top basketball shoe to combine a full-leather upper with a rubber toe cap. Initially introduced as the low-top version of the high-top basketball shoe Pro Model, the Superstar quickly gained recognition for its distinctive and eye-catching rubber toe cap—affectionately nicknamed the 'shelltoe.' During the 1970s, nearly three-quarters of NBA players chose the Superstar as their preferred footwear. After continuous refinement and evolution from the 1980s onward, the Superstar gradually transcended basketball to become a fashion icon across diverse domains—including high fashion, music, street culture, casual wear, and sports—propelling it into an unprecedented wave of global popularity. Today, the Superstar stands as an eternal classic.
