Vans Canvas Low top Skateboard Shoes Unisex Black Red Checkerboard (Unisex) Skate Shoes VN0A2Z5IWO2

The Vans Authentic was the first shoe model created by Vans founder Paul Van Doren in 1966. Its design drew inspiration from classic round-toe Oxford-style shoes popular the market in the 1960s. By the 1970s, the Vans Authentic series had gained widespread popularity among skateboarders thanks to its superior quality: it featured double-layered heavy-duty canvas uppers, four rows of stitching at the heel, and a pure rubber waffle outsole—enhancing board feel during skateboarding. Durable canvas uppers, metal eyelets, the iconic Vans logo, and the original waffle outsole collectively transformed the deceptively simple Vans Authentic into a distinctive benchmark of youth culture. To this day, the Vans Authentic remains prominent both in skateboarding and in fashion trends.
