Rive Gauche is a floral-aldehyde eau de toilette for women, launched by the fashion house of Yves Saint Laurent in 1971. The fragrance is considered a classic. Its name translates as "left bank of the Seine." The Latin Quarter in Paris is located on this bank, where the atmosphere is dominated by students.

Saint Laurent was the first major fashion designer to open a boutique there. Naturally, he had to adapt the range of products offered to the tastes of the women living there – young, modern, and emancipated people who can laugh at themselves, value independence, and strive for success in life.

The Rive Gauche fragrance line was created for them.
