Strength of lashing straps - The most important parameters on the label regarding the strength of the lashing strap.

1. LC (lashing capacity) – lashing capacity, i.e. permissible load, is the highest force for which the strap can be used in a straight system (in simple tension, i.e. in a straight line). When securing the load using the strapping method, it is assumed that the lashing capacity is doubled.

2. SHF (standard hand force) – nominal hand force – the maximum force that can be used to tension the manual tensioner. This is the force with which we can act on the lever. Higher force may deform the tensioner.

3. STF (standard tension force) – nominal tension force – the force with which the load is pressed against the ground. Pressing the load against the ground increases friction and better secures the load.

Its value depends on the length of the tensioner handle, the number of teeth and the diameter of the roller.
