Around the time the theatrical trilogy was released, Mr. Okawara drew MS illustrations featuring military-inspired color schemes and markings, which many modelers adopted as a way to express realistic MS in Gunpla, and it became established as a finishing technique. Subsequently, the 1/100 Real Type MS series was commercialized, and since then, many modelers have continued to express the theme of "realism" in various approaches, leading up to the present day. This product features primary color schemes. The standard colors have been toned down, and the color scheme has been designed to easily recreate the atmosphere of the "Real Type Color" that many modelers tried at the time. Each marking has been made into a decal in the image of the markings that were popular at the time. For those of you who feel nostalgic, adding silver touches, also known as "chipped paint," may further enhance the nostalgic feeling.
