Lucky Craft Wonder Lite 65 Torch Fishing Lure (0130 Laser Green Head Chart)

・The “[Lucky Craft]” “Wonder” series has long been a mainstay, leading the sea bass scene as the **“original sinking pencil.”** It began with an intuitive sense of unease – “it doesn’t offer any drawing resistance, yet somehow I’m still catching fish” – and eventually evolved into the unique ability to catch fish that won’t take anything else. Its greatest appeal lies in the combination of simplicity and depth: it can be fished with a simple straight retrieve. Even in calm, still waters, the Wonder approaches fish naturally, swimming erratically like a weakened baitfish. Reports of success are particularly numerous during night fishing, with countless anglers saying they caught fish on the Wonder that wouldn’t hit [Beefreeze] or [Valid]. The ability to entice inactive fish to strike is the Wonder’s greatest strength. ・■ Basic Action: Simply “Straight Retrieve” The way to use the Wonder is incredibly simple. Just cast and slowly retrieve, at about one rotation of the reel per second. This will allow the Wonder to maintain a horizontal posture, rolling subtly as it swims just below the surface. It is particularly effective at the edges of currents and in areas of light and shadow. ・Cast into the current, and slowly reel while maintaining line tension. ・If there are clear boundaries between light and dark, such as around floodlights, cast into the light and continue reeling towards the dark. This simple operation will trigger strikes from wary fish that won’t take other lures. Moreover, many strikes occur in the easily visible range just below the surface, allowing you to enjoy the visual excitement of the bite. ・■ “Distance” and “Horizontal Fall” Unique to Sinking Pencils The Wonder is also an excellent sinking pencil in terms of casting distance. The 95mm and slim models, in particular, offer exceptional casting performance, allowing you to reach vast open water or distant structures. Also noteworthy is its unique “horizontal fall.” Unlike conventional sinking pencils that sink in a nose-down position, the Wonder maintains a natural posture and sinks horizontally with light line tension. The “lift & fall” technique, utilizing this characteristic, is very effective in rivers and areas with current. Cast across the current, let it drift with the flow while allowing a tension fall, then repeat the lift. This will trigger reaction strikes. ・■ Choosing a Model and Adapting to Different Situations The Wonder comes in a variety of sizes and shapes, allowing for detailed adaptation to the situation and the target fish. Wonder 60 & 80: The basic models most suitable for surface straight retrieves during night fishing. Particularly strong on calm, quiet nights, they boast overwhelming results with a slow retrieve of one rotation per second. Wonder 95: Effective in situations requiring long casts or for “falling aiyu patterns.” Simply cast upstream and reel with the flow to get reactions from big fish. Slim 70, 90 & 110: Particularly strong for mayfly hatches, haké (smelt), juvenile aiyu, and shrimp patterns, and ideal for night game light patterns. The slim silhouette is less affected by wind and improves casting distance. ・■ Corresponding Bait Patterns and Effective Seasons The Wonder can handle a variety of bait patterns, including: Mayfly hatches (December – June): Straight retrieve is the basic technique. The Wonder Slim is particularly effective. Haké (smelt) & Juvenile Aiyu patterns (March – June): Fine adjustments to size and retrieve speed are key. Inakko (sand lance) & Iwashi (sardine) (May – October): Explore wide areas with the 95 and 110 models. Falling Aiyu, Sayori (needlefish), Konoshiro (Japanese halfbeak) (September – December): Slow drifting and horizontal fall are effective. Shrimp patterns (December – June): Present a natural action as if drifting to entice strikes. Mebaru (rockfish) plugging (December – May): Slow straight retrieve around floodlights. ・Fish that wouldn’t hit a [Beefreeze] or a [Valid] somehow react to the Wonder. That’s the magic of the “Wonder” series – “I don’t feel like I’m going to catch anything, but I’m catching fish.” It can handle micro bait patterns, juvenile aiyu, haké in spring to early summer, inakko, iwashi, squid in summer, and sayori, falling aiyu, konoshiro, and hatata (sand lance) in autumn and winter. Its silhouette and natural action adapt to any bait pattern. Simply cast, retrieve slowly and quietly. “I don’t feel like I’m fishing, but I’m catching fish.” That’s the true essence of the original sinking pencil, the “Wonder.”
