Nanbu Tekkō Ichido Tetsubin Hakeme 1L Rust Brown Finish Compatible IH 200V

The features of Ichido Nambu Tetsubin boast a 900-year history as a traditional craft from Iwate. Nambu ironware has a rustic and warm texture, which improves with use. The exterior of the teapot is finished with natural lacquer, while the interior is treated with a traditional method of kiln firing to prevent rust. This technique involves baking at approximately 900 degrees Celsius to form a ferric oxide coating on the surface, serving as rust prevention. The boiled water contains a rich supply of ferrous iron, which is easily absorbed by the body and is effective for iron supplementation. Before first use and after each use, please care for the teapot as follows: Lightly rinse the interior, fill with water up to 80%, and boil for about 15 minutes. Initially, the water may appear cloudy due to metallic residue, so repeat this process about three times until the boiled water is clear. If the teapot has not been used for a long time, perform the same steps when starting to use it again. After use, do not leave water inside the teapot; always transfer it to a pot and ensure it is empty before drying. If the water becomes cloudy due to rust: First, lightly rinse and fill with water up to 80%. Wrap about one teaspoon of sencha in cloth and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, being careful not to dry burn. This method utilizes the chemical reaction between the tannins in the tea and the iron. Repeating this process 2 to 3 times will enhance its effectiveness. Afterward, rinse lightly and boil water 1 to 2 times before use. Handling precautions: a. The teapot becomes very during and immediately after use; be careful of burns. b. Use and store out of reach of children. c. Be cautious of drops when stored at height. d. If not used for a long time, dry thoroughly before storing in a dry place. e.
