Besides ground conditions, load capacity is one of the most important criteria for wheel selection. To determine the required load capacity, the following variables must be known:

the equipment's own weight

• the maximum load weight or load capacity

• the number of wheels to be used

• The wheel must always be in contact with the ground. In practice, this rarely occurs due to thresholds or uneven ground. As a result, the total load often ends up on three wheels, and the load per wheel increases. Therefore, the total load must

divided by three wheels instead of four, to achieve a safe load capacity. When determining the safe total load capacity for a 4-wheeled device, we take into account the weight of the device plus its maximum load.

Divide the sum by 3 to obtain the safe load capacity that should be assumed for 1 wheel.
